GPT Image 2.6 Complexity vs Quality for Product Ads
Compare GPT Image 2.6 planning complexity and rendering quality for a product-ad correction, with a fixed request, acceptance rules and honest current workflow limits.

A product ad with one wrong word and a new ad containing several product relationships are different jobs. GPT Image 2.6 exposes a complexity setting for planning before rendering; quality is a separate rendering setting. Choosing a high value for both is not evidence that an edit will be more precise.
This article answers one task: how to compare complexity levels without accidentally changing the rest of the brief. It uses official documentation and an unexecuted fictional ad. Panelly has not integrated 2.6 or exposed its complexity control.
Start with the change you can actually judge
Imagine a fictional cream desk bottle called LINO. One existing ad misspells its name as LINOO. Another task asks for a new four-panel composition showing the same bottle, a desk situation, the approved name and a final action. The first needs a specific correction. The second has several relationships to organize. Do not combine them in one experiment.
Write a pass condition before selecting a level. For the edit, the required spelling is LINO and the bottle identity must remain recognizable. For the composition, the product variant, reading order and approved action must agree across the complete image. Neither task authorizes a new insulation claim or invented price.
Keep complexity independent of quality
The official guide documents low, medium and high complexity, with high used when the field is omitted. Quality controls a different part of the request. OpenAI says greater complexity may increase latency and introduce unwanted changes. This is a reason to compare, not a measured claim that low always wins for text.
Freeze the exact model, original image, identity reference, prompt, output size and quality. Change only complexity. If you also switch from Flare to Sunburst or rewrite the prompt, you cannot attribute the difference to planning alone. Record omitted fields too: an omitted complexity field is not a fourth experimental level.

Here is an original illustrative request, not a submitted job or observed output:
Correct only the intended word on the bottle-ad heading: replace LINOO with exactly LINO. Use the clean ad as the edit target and the actual cream bottle photograph as identity reference. Preserve the bottle silhouette, cap, approved copy and four-panel arrangement. Do not invent a price or performance claim. Return a complete image for inspection.
Keep that request unchanged for the comparison. Run the focused edit and the new composition as separate groups. Otherwise a setting may appear better only because it received an easier job. Repeat a predeclared number of attempts within a separately approved budget, retaining every failure. We have made no paid calls for this article.
Measure accepted corrections rather than attractive samples
For every result, record the supplied complexity, quality, model, wall-clock duration and actual usage. Read LINO letter by letter, inspect the product and review all four frames. Count an attractive output with a changed cap or new claim as a failed acceptance, not a successful edit.
Compare accepted outputs per attempted job and describe the number of attempts. A selected hero image is not a success rate. If a run times out or is blocked, keep it in the execution log and explain how it was counted. No measured winner, speed percentage or cost saving is established here.
Prepare a static control in Panelly today
Use the Brief builder to organize the bottle, exact message and exclusions. It formats text rather than measuring model behavior. The four-panel Studio task can hold a concrete static-ad request with your authorized product reference; review the plan and shown cost before confirming generation.
For a selected existing result, use Mention and refine for a specific correction and compare the whole next version. The visual-feedback guide owns the current interface instructions. This control workflow is not a 2.6 complexity experiment. Preserve that distinction when you later compare actual 2.6 outputs.
